Family Memories and Research
Tributes: Obituaries and Appreciations
Remember with Milestones
Welcome to Milestones Scotland
A warm welcome to Milestones, the site where you can digitally record your tributes to those no longer with us who have made an impact on your life. This is your opportunity to tell their story.
Remembering a Family Member:
Milestones offers every family in Scotland a place where their appreciation of a loved one can be put on record, no matter if the death was recent, a while back, or long ago. You can create your own bank of memories in this unique tool for family research
Additional Tributes:
We welcome Eulogies, Obituaries, Appreciations not just from family, but from friends colleagues and others too. We encourage a timeline of the life, key photographs and a range of other material which will be of interest to future researchers.
Celebrate a Special Life:
In Milestones you can recall and celebrate the lives not only of family but also of other people – anyone you have come across and admired whom you feel should not be allowed to drift into obscurity.
These are our Objectives:
- To offer people the chance to place on record their memories of departed relatives and friends.
- To provide a platform where the life of anybody from Scotland or with a Scottish connection, whether unassuming or prominent in their time, may be celebrated.
- To build milestonesscotland.co.uk into an accepted, popular and reliable source of information for general, biographical and family research.
Fulfilling our Objectives
How we aim to fulfil our Objectives is explained in the next four page Headings.
ABOUT tells you about the project in outline with some helpful topics, mostly brief – except for FAQ. In SERVICES you can learn how to register, how to search the Register and how to add to it, to ‘enhance’ it. PROFILES explains – and contains – the Milestones Memories Register. CONTACT carries the general contact form.
Forms may be more readily completed on a tablet or laptop, but the site is intended to be fully accessible on your mobile phone or via the QR code on our cards and publicity.
Inevitably you will be asked to accept our Terms and Conditions (T&Cs), our use of Cookies, and to note our Privacy Policy. Links to these appear at the foot of each page, along with one to Protocols which have yet more helpful information.
